  • Q: Are there preferable dimensions?
    • A: No, designs will be adjusted as needed to wrap around the bike.
  • Q: I see the size limit of 10MB but how many files can I submit?
    • A: You may enter multiple entries but only one file is permitted per submission and only one submission per person or group would have the potential to advance.
  • Q: What file types can I submit for my design?
    • A: .pdf or .jpg
  • Q: You have listed different areas of Portland on the form. Should I select where I live or where I work?
    • A: Please submit based on what neighborhood best reflects your design.
  • Q: How will my design fit on a bike wrap?
    • A: Our bike wrap designer will work with your design so it fits on the bike, staying as true as possible to the intention of your submission.
  • Q: Can I submit on behalf of another individual?
    • A: Submissions cannot be done on another person’s behalf with the exception of a person with a disability or language barrier who needs assistance. In this case, a design may be submitted on another person’s behalf as long as the submission is in that person’s name.
  • Q: When can I submit my design?
    • A: The site will open for submissions on February 14, 2018.
  • Q: What time will submissions close?
    • A: The site will stop accepting submissions at 8pm, PST, on March 7, 2018.
  • Q: Is there anything else that I should consider before making my submission?
    • A: Please carefully review the Official Rules.

After an artist submits

  • Q: When will I know the results?
    • A: Winners will be announced in May 2018.
  • Q: Can I change my submission after I’ve submitted?
    • A: No, you may not make any changes after submitting.
  • Q: Who is judging my submission?
    • A: There will be two rounds of judging. The first round will include Portland art and community leaders and Nike CEO Mark Parker.
  • Q: What criteria are the judges using to evaluate the designs and make their recommendations?
    • A:
      • Interpretation and clarity of the theme to the viewer.
      • Creativity and originality of the depicted theme.
      • Quality of artistic composition and overall design based on the theme.
      • Overall impression of the design.
      • Inspiration.
