The Air Max 95 was designed to help reenergize Nike's performance running category. The original design was a bold, provocative silhouette that had not been preceded by any sneaker before it.
Inspiration for the 95 came to designer Sergio Lozano as he looked out on Nike’s campus one gloomy day in Beaverton, Oregon. Lozano began picturing the process of rain eroding the earth and thought it would be interesting if the perfect product was unearthed by erosion.
With it’s unique design and colors, the Air Max 95 has become and remains an icon of youth culture.
