BIKETOWN

EASTSIDE NEIGHBORHOODS & GREENWAYS

Explore southeast Portland via our premiere biking streets called Neighborhood Greenways.

These residential streets have less auto traffic and lower speeds so bicycles and pedestrians are given priority. Be sure to stop and smell the roses when you enter Ladd’s Addition, Portland’s oldest planned residential development, known for its distinct diagonal street pattern and four rose gardens. Shop, dine or stroll along the Division/Clinton strip featuring many popular Portland eateries, galleries and boutiques.

Start your ride from the BIKETOWN station at SE Ladd and Hawthorne.

Follow SE Ladd across Division Street and onto low-traffic Clinton Street for a pleasant ride.

If you want to take a longer ride, consider heading back West and turning right onto the beautiful new Tilikum Crossing bridge across the Willamette River. Or you can pick up the Vera Katz Eastbank Esplanade for a scenic ride up the East Side of the river.
